THE work renovating a two-bedroom unit in central Geelong is set to pay off handsomely with the selling agent expecting a cracker auction on Saturday.

McGrath, Geelong agent Ross Bywater said the unit at 5/73-75 Maud St, Geelong, had attracted a lot of interest once the fresh renovation was revealed when the property hit the market.

The brick veneer home is listed with a $360,000 to $390,000 price guide, which had also attracted buyers.

“That will go off. It will be a cracker,” he said.

Mr Bywater expects at least six bidders, with a mix of downsizers, investors and also first-home buyers sizing up the potential.

The auction is on Saturday at 11.30am.
