indonesian biotech startup, mycotech lab, has developed a leather-like material made from mushroom mycelium, called mylea™️. after introducing the world’s first mushroom watch, the company has now collaborated with a variety of fashion brands to create the ‘bro.do x mylea better shoes‘ mushroom sneakers, along with many other fashion accessories.

mycotech lab has been collaborating with brands for several years to directly test their material in the form of various fashion products. improvements have been made along with their development by focusing on direct inputs from those collaborators. this process has made mylea™ finally ready for their second launch that introduces the new mushroom sneakers, along with the motto ‘we the sustainable, the genuine; we the future’.
by introducing these products directly to the market, the public becomes aware that there are alternatives they can choose in order to be more sustainable in fashion. one of them is to choose mylea™ instead of animal leather. ‘future technology should be the technology that will make sure that there is a future for next generations’ the mycotech team shares. ‘our innovation offers that’ they add.
