specialized in all types of vessel design, max zhivov has introduced a new watercraft concept, drawing influence from scandinavian culture and viking ships. dubbed ‘drakkar S’, the smart yacht is formed to feature an autopilot system based on artificial intelligence technology, requiring no captain and providing the possibility of remote control.

max zhivov has designed the ‘drakkar S’ as a solution for people who are not that experienced with sailing but still want to take the superyacht for a trip. customers can rent the boat for a short period and control it with help of smartphone. through the help of an app, they can choose the destination they prefer, and the system will automatically set a route. in addition, the yacht is able to approach the berth at the right distance for mooring and identify surface and underwater obstacles by itself, thus further facilitating the steering process for amateur users.

the ‘drakkar S’ is 26 meters long and it is equipped with an electric motor, as well as large solar panels placed on the roof. in this way, the boat adopts an environmentally friendly design that makes it possible to protect nature from harmful emissions. the interior space houses a salon-kitchen, two master cabins, and two guest cabins. here, the roof of the structure can be opened, like in a cabriolet.
