Pritzker Prize-winning architect Jean Nouvel joins forces with Reform to unveil a timeless and understated kitchen collection.

When a Parisian architect with a penchant for pushing design boundaries collaborates with a Danish kitchen maker, the result can only be described as “dazzling minimalism”. Reform, a Copenhagen-based kitchen company, regarded for their award-winning yet affordable designs, launches their latest joint venture, this time with architect Jean Nouvel to create a collection that is as aesthetically pleasing as it is hard-wearing and functional.

Jean Nouvel’s impressive project portfolio includes the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Danish Concert Hall and the Arab World Institute; regarded as one of the design industry’s most respected and celebrated figures. His philosophy that “art should be created for life, not for the museum”, is showcased in the new kitchen collection, aptly named ‘Reflect’. Featuring cabinetry fronts designed with vertical ridges, Jean introduces a unique finish that bounces light; characteristically and playfully.

Made from sturdy steel, the Reflect kitchen is available in black or untreated metal with a high gloss, mirror-like finish. Countertops, available in stainless steel, or grey and black Fenix laminate, are designed to be functional and durable. Reform’s co-founder Jeppe Christensen who has previously collaborated with the likes of Norm Architects and Muller van Severen, regards the ‘Reflect’ series as minimalist, yet visionary. “It inspires a life of expression without drowning out everything else. Sympathetic and beautiful,” he says.

The new Jean Nouvel kitchen for Reform is available to view at Reform’s eleven international showrooms. For more information visit reformcph.com
