The last time we at Decoist explored the terrazzo trend, it was definitely gaining popularity. Yet terrazzo decor was mostly offered by artists and design houses. Now that more time has passed, the look has gone mainstream, which has its pros and cons. One definite pro: affordable terrazzo finds at retailers such as Target and World Market. Plus, a whole new crop of artisans have boarded the terrazzo train, bringing their goods to marketplaces such as Etsy. Ready for a closer look at how you can bring terrazzo home? Keep reading! For the Walls

If you love terrazzo enough to deck the walls, consider wallpaper. There are many different styles to browse, form the minimal to the more detailed. Are you drawn to rounded edges on the flecks and chips? Or perhaps you like a more angular look. And don’t get us started on the available color palettes. Whatever your style, there’s a wallpaper for you! Urban Outfitters’ Terrazzo Removable Wallpaper is cut in panels, so you can easily cover the entire room or limit the pattern to one accent wall:

Lulu & Georgia’s Connie Terrazzo Wallpaper comes in Gray and Rose (pictured below). A variety of tones add interest, yet the palette is definitely in neutral territory. Note how well terrazzo blends with modern decor!…

If you don’t want to mess with wallpaper, you can opt for decals, such as the eco-friendly terrazzo wall decals featured at the top of today’s post (from Etsy shop Made by Sundays). You can also opt for wall art, which adds the perfect dash of terrazzo to your space. This Abstract Forest Print with Terrazzo from Etsy shop Viola & Dominic features a handmade illustration. Giclée print magic at its finest:

We’re loving the warm tones of this Terrazzo Landscape Art Print from Etsy shop Sundry Society. Plus, the artwork is super affordably priced since it’s printable art! Rather than it being shipped to your home, the art is printed by you, and it’s offered in five size ratios that will fit in more than 20 frame options. This means you avoid custom framing fees as well!

Furniture Finds

From the walls to the furniture, there’s plenty of room for terrazzo pieces that can fill your space with modern style. Tables are one of the most popular furniture types to feature the pattern. Below we see CB2’s Terrazzo Coffee Table and Terrazzo Side Table, which take indoor/outdoor style to another level:

Urban Outfitters offers a range of terrazzo tables for your shopping enjoyment, starting with this Emanuela Carratoni For Deny Sweet Terrazzo Texture Side Table. Made from Baltic birch, the piece features a smooth, glossy finish, as well as removable metal legs with a gold finish.

Urban Outfitters’ Taryn Terrazzo Side Table showcases a top made from stone set in resin. Black metal legs offset the piece, making it perfect for side table and nightstand duty:

Need a bigger table? Below we see the coffee table version of the piece in black. With a simple yet striking color palette, this table is right at home in a range of spaces with an equal range of palettes!

Contain Yourself

If you’re wanting to dip your toe into the terrazzo pool before committing to a furniture purchase, try adding a container or planter to your home. This Madewell x Capra Designs Terrazzo Dome Keepsake Box has a unique domed form, crafted from resin and cork. Use it to hold jewelry, small mementos, paperclips and more.

World Market’s Terrazzo Lidded Storage Container is a bargain at $16.99. Rust, grey and gold are a few of the on-trend shades you’ll find covering this item. Plus, it’s a wonderful way to add pattern to your powder room (or the room of your choice).

When it comes to terrazzo planters, Etsy shop Speckl Goods’ Terrazzo Planter packs a lot of power into its petite frame. Sealed with a beeswax/mineral oil blend, the planter is crafted from a concrete material that feels like stone. The perfect accent piece for a desk, table or shelf:

Black, white, and angular flecks reign with CB2’s Brera Terrazzo Planter, available in large and small (shown below). It’s hard to argue with contrast, especially when dark and light tones are involved!

When your terrazzo container is filled with pure eco-soy wax, you have the natural soy candle in pink terrazzo from Etsy shop ZOA concept. Not only is each candle made by hand, the terrazzo container will add instant style in any space it inhabits. Add the warm glow of candlelight, and you have true design magic!

The vivid colors featured on this terrazzo soap dish from Etsy shop Mica Rica are as striking as the design of the dish itself. Concrete and jesmonite create a true work of art that is also designed with good soap drainage in mind!

Style on a Platter

Terrazzo has officially migrated to the tabletop, with leading brands offering an array of serving pieces featuring the pattern. We begin with Crate & Barrel’s Lunea Terrazzo Melamine Oval Platter, which showcases grey and wine flecks:

A more densely packed terrazzo can be found on Treasure & Bond’s Round Terrazzo Marble Serving Board (available at Nordstrom). It’s interesting how the close proximity of the flecks creates a very different look from many of the items featured in today’s post. You can also purchase the piece in oval.

CB2’s Terrazzo Black Round Serving Platter is a terrazzo and cement piece that brings grey-toned style to your spread of cheese, appetizers or dessert. When not in use, this item can be propped up on your shelf (or countertop) for a lovely display of modern geometry.

Another gorgeous find from Etsy shop Mica Rica, this terrazzo fruit bowl features a matte finish and plenty of vibrant color. Which makes it perfect for pulling centerpiece duty!

The bold blue tone of these royal blue porcelain plates from Etsy shop Urban Pottery Studio give them a refreshing, standout look, as does the hand-painted gold trim. Did we mention that the plates are shaped by hand?! Porcelain has never been so alluring…

Last but not least, you can serve up your next batch of cocktails with an accompanying set of 4 Blue Hexagon Terrazzo Coasters from Etsy shop Speckl Goods. The perfect base for the beverage of your choice!

Cheers to terrazzo and the many decorative possibilities that it brings! Thanks for reading.
