It Looks Closed Off… But It’s Wide Open Inside

At first glance, it looks completely closed, but once you step inside, everything changes.

The Sion House, in Mexico, is built on a small and irregular site.

Instead of fighting the constraints, the design uses them.

A central void runs through the house, bringing light, air, and privacy at the same time.

The main living space fully opens to the garden, creating one continuous environment.

Double-height areas improve airflow and make the space feel larger, and the structure itself reveals how the house was built — nothing is hidden.

A simple idea, but extremely effective. A house that looks closed… but works completely open.
