Before you even reach the front door, something feels different. The path begins in a garden and leads through a series of shallow reflecting pools.
To enter the house, you have to walk over water.
The French Creek Workshops House, designed by Wittman Estes, is not just a home. It’s a place designed for both living and working — without mixing the two.
The main house and the workshops are separated into different volumes, connected by covered paths and a central courtyard.
Rain is not a problem here. It’s part of the design.
Water flows from the roofs directly into the reflecting pools, turning weather into architecture.
Inside, everything is simple and practical. No stairs. Continuous floors. Durable materials.
A house designed to be used every day — and to age well over time. A place where everything is separate… but still connected.
