What if trees weren’t decoration — but the starting point of an entire house?
The House of Amendoeiras, in Salvador, Brazil, was designed around mature almond trees that already defined the land. Instead of clearing the site, the architecture adapts to shadows, wind, heat, and vegetation — turning climate and nature into everyday comfort.
This is a house that negotiates with its surroundings, using engineered wood, movable shading, and a garden-centered layout to create a calm, breathable way of living in a tropical city.
Not a house that dominates the land — but one that listens to it.
