six murano glass flowers turn into portable table lamps that glow at a touch

Alessandra Baldereschi imagines six glass buds as portable lamps

On the border between reality and fantasy, Flowers in Wonderland explores design as a journey of growth, discovery, and imagination. Designed by Alessandra Baldereschi and produced by MULTIFORME, the portable table lamp collection takes inspiration from the symbolic universe of flowers and from the dreamlike atmosphere of Alice’s Wonderland, where everyday elements seem to reveal hidden meanings. Rather than representing flowers in full bloom, the collection focuses on the moment just before revelation: six unopened artistic glass buds, delicate and mysterious, as if they were about to disclose their inner world. Their naive shapes and pastel colors suggest invented botanical species, imaginary flowers suspended between nature, fairy tale, and object design. In this rechargeable version, Flowers in Wonderland becomes even more versatile and intimate. A small battery is hidden within the stem, allowing each flower to be placed freely in different spaces without the limits of a cord. This portable nature enhances the poetic character of the object while making it more functional for contemporary interiors, from bedside tables and shelves to dining settings and quiet corners of the home.

Each Flowers in Wonderland lamp lights up with a single touch

At the center of each glass corolla of the Flowers in Wonderland collection, a soft, dimmable LED light gently glows from within. The flower turns on with a simple touch, almost as if responding to a whisper or a secret thought. Light becomes part of the narrative: not merely a technical function, but a magical gesture that reveals new shades, reflections, and transparencies in the glass. The collection combines artistic glass craftsmanship, lighting technology, and narrative design. Each flower is conceived as a small luminous presence: a poetic object that can be contemplated during the day and softly illuminated at night. With its rechargeable system, delicate proportions, and handcrafted glass body, Flowers in Wonderland, made by designer Alessandra Baldereschi, transforms the symbolic language of flowers into a portable, emotional, and contemporary lighting experience.
