A Garden Against the Drought | House in the Dry

Set on former grazing land in the semi-rural area of Tamworth, this house was designed to regenerate the arid landscape and create a contemporary home resilient to the region’s harsh climate. With a large central courtyard, covered walkways, and elongated forms that blend into the terrain, the residence uses materials like metal, wood, and stone, while adopting sustainable strategies such as full rainwater harvesting, solar panels, and native vegetation to withstand long periods of drought.
