SPACE and privacy for kids to grow up on away from the city’s hustle and bustle is what sold this Bellbrae property to a Melbourne family.

The sprawling 8ha property at 415 Gundrys Rd sold for $1.25 million.

Great Ocean Properties, Torquay agent Marty Maher said the young family would be relocating from Melbourne to the property.

“They have young kids and want space around them and not in the city,” Mr Maher said.

“They have been renting in Jan Juc for a little while waiting for the right one to come up, they are absolutely rapt.”

The house has been refurbished inside and out.

The initial price guide for the property was $1.3 million to $1.4 million.

Mr Maher said he dropped the price a little bit and the inspection rates really lifted.

The three-bedroom house has been fully refurbished inside and out and includes a north-facing living zone that flows outside to a veranda that wraps around three sides of the house.
