Remember when cooking meant stirring invisible soup and serving pretend food to anyone within arm’s reach? Before we ever touched a real knife or turned on a burner, we played at the rituals of the kitchen. Legni, the new collection from Abimis and Veneto-based Duylo, brings a bit of that childhood magic into grown-up prepwork. Crafted entirely from reclaimed wood, the line includes stackable crates, chessboard-inspired chopping blocks, and multipurpose tools that blend function and joy in equal measure – making time spent in the kitchen feel as playful as our earliest memories.

Unlike tools that feel too precious to use, each piece in the Legni collection is designed to be a hardworking staple in your kitchen routine. While they’re beautiful enough to display, they’re made to be used – and used often.

Domino and Scacchi are chopping boards that double as serving trays: one rectangular with ergonomic side recesses, the other square with a subtle chessboard pattern that highlights the natural wood grain.

Torre is a system of stackable crates available in ash, walnut, or oxidized oak. Perfect for storing produce, corralling utensils, or setting the table with bread and napkins, the crates invite playful arrangement and look just as good in use as they do stacked on a shelf.

The multifunctional spirit continues with the Shanghai utensil set, crafted in walnut and designed to bring elegance to everyday tasks. The set includes tongs, a beveled-edge spatula for scraping or cutting food, a spoon-and-fork duo for tossing salads, and a cleverly designed turner that helps prevent pots from boiling over.

Dama brings quiet drama to the kitchen with a geometric latticed trivet in ash or walnut, designed to dissipate heat while adding sculptural flair.

Tangram

Rounding out the collection is Tangram, a pair of ash accessories for the sink area. The grid-style dish drainer and a sink cover that doubles as a chopping board both offer extra workspace when counter space is tight.

Rooted in sustainability, Legni reflects the shared values of Abimis and Duylo: a commitment to craftsmanship, intentional design, and conscious material choices. Made exclusively from reclaimed wood, the collection gives new life to discarded materials while minimizing waste. So even though we’ve grown up, the joys of the kitchen remain the same. Legni simply reminds us of the rhythms, rituals, and quiet pleasures that drew us there in the first place.
