SHORE, the London-based company on a mission to reduce waste through reclaimed material and fun colors, dives into their newest venture: footwear. With four different styles and five modern colors to choose from, there’s something for everyone in the SHORE lineup. Completely handmade out of recycled nautical rope, all shoes are made to order using their signature weave pattern, which is present in most of their products. Featuring a full Vibram sole, these shoes are meant for rugged use, with or without socks, yet also look effortlessly chic. Combine this with the amount of material that would otherwise be in a landfill, this collection is a step in the right direction for the footwear industry.

Closed-loop design is more and more prevalent with climate change concerns on the rise. We must prioritize the sustainability of all stages of product, designers, and producers now becoming more beholden to the concerns of consumers and civil rights groups. SHORE understands this need, and has incorporated this type of thinking into their new lineup. The rope is made of recycled material, and the shoes come in five colors – Lava Stone, Dune Glow, Golden Grain, Midnight Tide, and Party Lights, each bringing a fresh take to the line.

The Boot in Midnight Tide

The Boot features a low-top design that is just as comfy with or without socks. Completely handwoven, the design is perfectly constructed to hold the foot firmly but comfortably using their signature weaving method.

The Clog in Dune Glow

The Clog is also a slip-on shoe, but with no back for easy kick-off. This design particularly lends itself to the type of construction we see in the SHORE line, sturdy enough to wrap around the foot while soft and pliable enough for footwear.
